Author Comments:

I'm taken, so I now merely admire them from afar...

[] contain where the actress first caught my eye.

uma thurman is one of the most annoying actresses i've ever seen.

So I assume we shan't be competing for her affections?

Sorry, chum, I could hardly agree less. She caught my eye in Dangerous Liaisons and has largely had it since.

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

uma blonde or uma brunette. preference?

Nope, although the short wig in Pulp Fiction is especially fine by me...

I do like her a little less thin than she is in the Kill Bills.

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

amen to uma!

Somehow, I thought I might find some support for her...

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

Whatever, dude, she's still friggin' hot! ;-)

oh i'm not going to deny that she is hot... but she's not that hot

I love Christina ricci.

She is incredibly attractive.

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

I look just like Uma, when I'm drunk ;)

I look just like Brad Pitt, when you're drunk. ;)

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

Too bad I haven't been drunk in a long while ;)

Me, neither. I guess I'll just have to watch Pulp Fiction again...

Would you like to borrow my DVD of Thelma and Louise? ;)

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

Have you seen Tea Leoni in The Family Man? Smokin'!

Yup! Does she ever look less than gorgeous?

Still, her appearance in Flirting with Disaster takes the cake; I love that hair on her...

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

We have slightly different tastes (I just can't take Audrey...), but on Samantha Morton, you couldn't be more right on. Not only in Sweet and Lowdown, but in In America. Lovely, lovely, lovely.

And unfortunately, I don't have a clue who Jane Adams is...

Johnny Waco (who thinks Eva Mendes is #1 with a bullet on his list!)

I will let you put Eva on your list if you allow me to keep Audrey on mine...

Samantha Morton is, like Uma, unworldly. Jane Adams seems to be a quirk; nobody else likes her half as much as I seem to, although in an odd twist, I actually prefer her with long, curly hair rather than her current (I think) short hair. That is only odd because I usually favor short hair...

She was the mousy woman in Happiness, if that helps any.

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

Oh yes, I know who she is now. Hmmm. Doesn't set my world alight, but then, I know how you are about unruly mops of curly hair. (Ms. Cook, anybody?) ;)

Just think, if you ever had a chance with Uma, you could also get to talk Buddhism with her dad as an added bonus. I wonder if Ethan Hawke ever took advantage of that...

Johnny Waco

Well, I did get to see her high school photo. You know how everybody says that beauties are usually ugly ducklings when they are young?

They are all liars.

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

Oh, and since I am an honest man, Cook certainly should be added here, at least for one role...

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs (who should be ashamed...)

Ah, a pet peeve for sure: actresses who in interviews insist--insist--that they didn't fit in, were gangly, or just downright ugly in high school. Poor things couldn't even get dates!

Denise Richards immediately comes to mind for saying that everyone called her "fish lips" and ignored her. I could think of some more if I pondered for a few minutes...

Johnny Waco

Is Denise Richards a beauty?

Why does nobody tell me these things?

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs (who truly believes Neve was the only 'beauty' part of Wild Things...)

She's not a favorite of mine, but it's an example of what I was talking about. Obviously many people think she's "hot" or she wouldn't be in films like Wild Things and Starship Troopers. Under no circumstances do I believe she was ugly and ignored in high school.

I may have to clone this as well. As Foreigner sang so eloquently, "I'm hot-blooded!!!"

Johnny Waco

Point very well taken.

Of course, there is a strange phenomenon I've experienced where a quite gorgeous women is utterly ignored in high school simply because somehow the collective consciousness of the student body doesn't seem to notice her. There were models in my high school that few people looked twice at, and I have no idea why. True, the average student was aware that they were models, but still, that certainly looked the part (and were paid to look the part)...

So I could understand how some beautiful women could certainly feel that way.

Not that I am excusing or defending Ms. Richards for a second...

Clone, baby, clone! Then I will check it and see.

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

Samantha Morton? Come on, baby, do you do more than dance?

Johnny Waco

May I Clone?

Be my guest! (See, I start talking about beauty and next thing you know, I'm singing Beauty and the Beast...) I love looking at other folks' lists, especially since they are usually radically different than my own.

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

My very own personal list of crushes!

Johnny Waco

What about Téa Leoni in The Family Man?

Déjà vu! (Look at your post higher up...)

:)

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

Damn me.

What about monica belucci? Penelope Cruz? Liv Lyler? :)

Penelope just doesn't move me, and while I recognize both Monica and Liv as attractive women, something's just missing between us. Maybe if I talk to them a bit more... :)

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

I don't mind you stealing Maria Bello--I guess I'll have to see A History of Violence now...

Johnny Waco

Natalie Portman slightly reminds me of audrey hepburn, in my opinion she has one of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen.
