About three years ago, I "finished" my trance list. Not because it was done, but simply because I felt it was at such a size where it spoke for itself. All the classics were there, about a thousand songs in total were referenced at some point on the page-times were good.

But, like all good times, trance evolved. I was at work the other day and a woman came in listening to shitty pop remixes of Britney Spears music. I asked her what she was listening to. She responded "trance", which nearly caused me to simultaneously soil myself and have an aneurysm. The term "trance" is so loosely thrown around, I don't know if I want to associate a list like mine-a REAL trance list-with...that.

Therefore, I am reducing, remaking, rebuilding, and reposting my trance list. I'll leave the old one up until it's finished-I've discovered new classics since then and came to clearer judgment on other songs, and I think you all will enjoy it.

Yes, trance is dead. There's no longer a doubt. But the classics are still out there...if you look hard enough, you never stop finding new ones.

i see, she must have heard Gareth Emery Remix of Britney Spears' I Wanna Go, pretty bad remix imo.
Anyway, i'm very insterested in your new updated/upgraded Trance list, i'm also very sad that Trance Music went so much off the rail in the last 2/3 years, although there are always amazing classics out there still to be (re)discovered so there's always great music out there. :)
