  1. Bass Kleph & Anthony Paul - Helium (Wolfgang Gartner Remix)
  2. As you'll gather from the rest of this list I'm a sucker for anything Wolfgang Gartner does, and this is one of his best remixes in my opinion, not to mention just a damn near perfect example of a nicely melodic electro house track.

  4. Spektrum - Kinda New (Dirty South Remix)
  5. This is the track that got me into electro house in the first place - a relentless take-no-prisoners bass loop that I defy anyone with even a passing interest in the genre to resist.

  8. A filthy track of typical Wolfy style that demands to be played loud.

  10. Hyper - No Rockstars (Bass Kleph Remix)
  11. A brilliant remix of an already great track (check out the original if you're into bigbeat with loads of dirty guitar sounds), cool and funky with an irresistible pitching bassline and fluid mix of four four and breakbeats.

  13. The Egg vs David Guetta - Love Don't Let Me Go (Tocadisco Remix)
  14. Ok, so this track has become somewhat of a cliche due to massive over-exposure because of a certain TV ad, but if you can get past that it still remains one of the quintessential electro house tracks of all time.

  16. Benni Benassi - Love Is Gonna Save Us
  17. Now granted, Benni has flogged the whole speak 'n' spell sound to death, but it actually manages to sound fresh on this almost trance-sounding track. The first original thing he has produced since 'Satisfaction'.

  20. Usually I don't go for tracks without the slightest hint of a melody (or even a chord change for that matter), but this is one of the exceptions. That bassline cannot be denied!

  22. Fedde Le Grand - Put Your Hands Up For Detroit
  23. This is about as minimal as an electro track can get, basically just percussion and a bassline, but somehow it works so well, especially when played LOUD.

  26. This is a nice track - dark and moody with chilled out vocals and a deep, almost prog house feel.

  29. Dirty South can do no wrong in my book, and anyone who liked (and is old enough to remember) the original Adventures of Stevie V track will love this - guaranteed.

  31. Lilly Allen - Everyone's At It (Nathan C & Eddie Kid Remix)
  32. If you can get past Lilly Allen's kind of annoying singing style and the lame references to drug addiction (I'm sure it's meant to be 'edgey') you will be rewarded with a deliciously filthy bassline that makes it all worthwhile.

  35. A track almost jarring in it's electro-bassy-ness with definite echoes of Old Skool rave.

  38. great use of a distorted guitar sound and mellow vocals give this track a haunting edge, while the solid bassline keeps it funky.

  41. A perfect slice of twisting distorted funkiness.

  44. Sultry vocals over a simple yet engaging bassline make this better than the original in my opinion, even if you're not a massive electro house fan.

  47. This one struck me as unremarkable the first time I heard it, but after a few listens it reeled me in with a subtle funkiness that isn't immediately obvious, and now I love it.

  60. Yep, yet another release of ths classic house tune - normally I hate these shameless cash-ins, but this time it's forgivable. You've never heard 'Finally' quite like this before.

  63. The electro house movement is still too young to have any 'classics', but in ten years time this track will undoubtedly fall into that category.

  90. The thing about Wolfgang Gartner is that he always manages to do something new and unexpected, whilst at the same time you always know that it's his work. On this track the smooth bassline gives way to a high-pitched whine that somehow manages to be melodic while never actually containing any musical notes. Brilliant.

  93. Dirty South transform this rather mediocre track into a deep, resonant, even beautiful journey that still manages to retain that gritty rasping electro quality.

  96. A dark sci-fi apocolyptic feel and foreboding vocals give this track an almost disturbing edge, and then the grating bassline kicks in and its electro heaven.

  99. The vocals alone make this track worth listening to, they are hilarious, but even without them it would be a nice slice of freaky buzzy dirt.

  104. The euphoric guitar-driven breakdown leads in to a rumbling, monotonous bassline, the two extremes complimenting one another perfectly.

  113. This tune certainly takes it's time getting started, but it's worth the wait, giving you a twisted vocoderish bassline with crisp bleeps and muted strings to be getting on with.

  116. A rich buzzy bass and little bleeps that sound a bit like a nervous mosquito, this track is monotonous, but somehow never in a way that seems boring or repetitive.
