You've got a lot of excellent films in your collection!!

Scott

Thanks! There always seem to be more, though...

Now this collection is complete!! Royal Tenebaums is a must, and now you have it!

This is a nice collection of movies.

Is your unrated copy of Kill Bill the original Japanese version? If so, I've been wondering--and I've seen that cut--what exactly is so horrible about it to warrant an NC-17 from the MPAA.

I really don't like those guys.

I'm not sure if it's the Japanese cut, but
I do know that the black-and-white fight sequence
towards the end is in color in this version, so
there's quite a bit more bright red blood and gore
flying around, and I also remember the scene as going on for a while more. And you're right about the MPAA- this version is definitely more violent than the American cut, but not by much- I can't imagine anyone who couldn't sit through the uncut version finding the R-rated cut palatable.

The cuts I noticed in the Japanese version were, yes, the "Crazy 88" sequence goes on longer, the "black and white" sequence stays in color, the anime sequence is a bit longer, and the woman in the car trunk at the end gets both arms cut off, instead of just one. Can't you just see these guys sitting there saying, "Okay, now, one more thing...the woman in the trunk...only make her lose one arm instead of both and we'll give you the R." Morons...
