Inspired even more by this, down to the two-film-per-director minimum [ADDENDUM, 5/29/07: Not anymore -- I'm pruning this list by upping the minimum to three, thereby also wiggling out of my average-grade quandary]. Many listed grades are considered suspect, as they stem from many-years-ago viewings. But we'll roll with it anyway.
