Mediocrity was the watchword for this year. Yecch. (Films with numbers beside them indicate multiple viewings.)

Wow, that is easily the highest rating I've ever seen for Freddy Got Fingered!
Yeah, I think the movie's damn near brilliant -- a deranged Dadaist prank masquerading as a standard-issue gross-out comedy.
Hold The Phone!..Royal Tenenbaums only a C Student! ?? heehe, i love that movie, but would like to hear why you didnt :L)
I find "Tenenbaums" visually interesting but emotionally dead and way too convinced of its own cleverness. I think playing it side by side with, say, "Punch-Drunk Love" would serve to show up Wes Anderson as a heartless po-mo sadist.
Also, Gwyneth Paltrow and Luke Wilson give the worst performances of their careers, which is problematic since they're the lead characters. But of course, that is only my opinion, and it's not a very widely held one.
wait, i see your point, at times it does feel to Confident of its cleverness thats true. but i still love it ;] but can see why some wouldnt, im a fair man! :[]
