Most Queued, Netflixily

Tags:

I've whipped together a page those shows the movies that appear in more than one Netflix queue, grouped by number of appearances. This page may get unwieldy if lots of people share their queues, but I'll burn that bridge when we get to it. Anyway, check it out!

Jim, what do I have to do to get Netflix queues to show up in searches?

Sorry about the delay in responding! Currently you can't really search queues because the full-text indexing I'm using doesn't recognize the HTML used to make each movie title a link.

Jim, I realize this might seem like an odd request but is there anyway the recent abundance of Netflix stuff could be separated out into its own separate area. Any more the recent updates list is dominated by Netflix queues which is great but the machine generated stuff is starting to obfuscate the human generated contributions.

Perhaps an area with instructions on how to generatea Netflix type list with your own user ID, a display of the the Netflix queue consolidation page that you wrote and arecent updates dedicated to Netflix queues.

Or within the current framework placing a 2nd column on the Recent Updates page which has all of the recent updates in Netflix queues with the first column having no Netflix updates.

I'm sure there's a ton of different ways it can be done and I'm sure you'll find (or come close to finding) the best if you decide to address my concerns.

I think all of the recent Netflix additions are awesome but my usual sources for keeping up to date on the comings and going are starting to be dominated by the word Netflix.

Of course if any or all of this is prohibitively complicated feel free to ignore anything I've just said. :-)

Done!

Cool! Let me see how everything looks and I'll report back. :-)

Yeah, I'll separate them out somehow; that's been bugging me as well. Might take me a few days though.

All of these City of God renters are in for a suprise. :-)

I'm amazed at how great the notices are for Bubba Ho-Tep. 79% on Rotten Tomatoes? Rave reviews on Amazon.com? 8 Stars on IMDB? What is this? The best received B-Movie of all time?

Maybe I should leave the movies that only appear in two queues off?

That's a really cool list, Jim. I'm glad you had that idea. But, yeah, it might be a good idea to take off the movies that are only in two queues. I can see this list getting pretty large and intimidating.

Thanks! And I think you're right; three is now the cutoff.

The big surprise for me is that one of the two movies that are "most queued" is Bubba Ho-Tep.

Bubba Ho-Tep and City Of God. Now there's a twosome.

Bubba Ho-tep now has the top slot all to itself!
