Asian DVDs on eBay
I have a found a really great imported Asian DVD seller on eBay called "foreign_movie_buff". He has stuff available through Buy It Now and also auction.
I've only had one transaction with him so far, a brand-new, sealed, Region 0 non-Miramaxed version of Shaolin Soccer which I got for about $20. He has a ton of great titles including multiple copies of many things we've discussed in the Asian cinema circles on Listology. He seems like a very reputable seller. He also gives a ton of information about the DVDs he's selling including important region code information.
I've been meaning to post on here for a few days and decided to do it today because one of his Zhang Yimou Hero DVD's is going off auction in the new 6 hours or so and the price is still quite low, i.e. less than 10$. I'd bid on this in a second if I didn't already own it. It's a Region 0 (aka Region Free) DTS DVD-9 DVD. I'm not quite sure what all that means and it's possible the DTS and/or DVD-9 might not work with all DVD players. A DVDphile would know better than I. But even if the current one isn't right for you he does have other different editions of the Hero DVD. For the record I (and I think Jim) have the Region Free DVD-5 version.
So to sum up. 1,000 points of light. Great Asian Import DVDs on eBay from a seemingly reputable seller. One copy of Hero going off auction soon. Many other copies of Hero available from him if you have questions about compatibility. Also, many other cool titles at reasonable prices.

Cool, thanks for the heads-up! Yes, I do have the same Hero edition you do. You want to know what the latest inaccessible movie I'm craving is? Ong-Bak. All the reviews I've read suggest that the action is just amazing. Something along the lines of Jackie Chan in his prime, and then ratcheted up a notch or three. I'm not sure I'm ready to commit to buying it just yet in case a subtitled version sees the light of day, but it's still tempting to pick up a cheap-o VCD.
Oops, I just realized Ong-Bak is already on one of your lists!
